Welcome to Zzzease! I have big dreams and aspirations for Zzzease… to cure the bad sleep that ails us. Of course you know how important a good night of sleep is to your mental and physical health. And you know how much better you simply “feel” when your sleep is deep and relaxing. Zzzease is here to help!
The story behind Zzzease is quite simple… I was traveling frequently for work and struggling to get a good night’s sleep. I started to put an extra pillow over my head to block out the unfamiliar sounds and found the weight, somehow, helped me to relax. As time went on, I started piling a pillow on my head at home, too. And then I started buying smaller pillows, because let’s face it – a regular pillow on top of your head can get somewhat cumbersome. My quest for the perfect smaller pillow began. I spent a lot of money and fitful nights fighting with little pillows and ultimately, I failed. I couldn’t find something quite the right weight or quite the right shape. My entrepreneurial spirit kicked in (along with foggy, cob-webbed memories of learning how to sew), I started making my own. It took about a year of trial and error to get it right, but my perseverance (or stubbornness) finally paid off!
I’ve been testing this version of Zzzease for quite some time. I’ve made several and given them to family and friends. All feedback has been positive so it is finally time for Zzzease to grow up and go out into the world.
My goal is to help you rediscover the gift of a good night’s sleep – without any unnatural aids. I’m also committed to being a good steward of the environment. The fabric in Zzzease (and the bag) is 100% organic, from US sources whenever possible. The whole buckwheat seeds are organic and non-GMO. Lastly, Zzzease is priced to enable us to pay a living wage to the great numbers of people I hope will make Zzzease soon (for now, the one you are holding is likely made by little ‘ol me). The plan is to have a facility in Baltimore City, MD for Zzzease production.
